We started this company in June 2014 out of a desire to “do things right”. We asked ourselves if it were possible to succeed in an environment free from stressful deadlines, late nights & weekends, and the myriad other reasons cited by our peers for having quit their otherwise great jobs to try their luck elsewhere.
What makes us different?
Before taking our first client, we tried to identify qualities of the “ideal” company. Mentorship and career building immediately ranked highest on our list. Salaries aside, working with a great team makes a position exponentially more valuable. Thus, in order to create that perfect environment where one can truly become great, we decided to make education an integral part of our business.
Our individual backgrounds include an array of award-winning creative and technical work, spanning industries including fashion, retail, philanthropy, education, technology, real estate, and finance.
What has that taught us?
It taught us to treat our work as a craft, not as just a job—as a passion, we can constantly refine. The Japanese have the word shokunin, one who dedicates their life to the constant search for perfection.
I’ll make an analogy to Apple’s attention to detail, which demands that even the internal hardware and circuitry of devices be beautiful, despite not normally being visible. We approach design and coding with the same attention to things that aren’t obvious on the surface. However, it is only when users don’t notice that we know we’ve succeeded: pages load faster, apps don’t crash, fewer carts are abandoned, images look beautiful—you get the idea.
What is our goal?
Our hope is simply that our passion will permeate and define our culture, which will, in turn, enable us all to do our best work.
Our plan is bold. We plan to prove building our dream company is possible. Maybe we’re foolish for believing that we can, but it is our plan nonetheless.
This is our plan of ATTCK.
